Washington, DC (April 29, 2019) — In response to the latest tragic anti-Semitic attack on a synagogue, this time directed towards Chabad of Poway, California, HAF co-founder and executive director Suhag Shukla stated:
“We at HAF extend our deepest condolences to the victims of this most recent hate crime, as well as to all our Jewish friends and neighbors across the nation. There can be no sort of justification for such violence. That such attacks continue to occur with shocking regularity, is continued indication of all the work that needs to be done to both end religious bigotry, hatred, and intolerance, as well as to enact common sense gun safety reform.”
HAF urges all Hindu temples to remain vigilant and take all necessary safety and security precautions to protect their members. Important security guidelines, resources, and information can be found in the HAF Guide to Temple Security.
