Washington, DC (March 20, 2019) — With Holi just around the corner, the Hindu American Foundation is proud to announce the arrival of our new Holi Toolkit! Holi will be celebrated this year on March 21st and we hope you’ll join us in learning more about this colorful festival!
In this space, you will find materials to teach about Holi in your classrooms and activities to do at home with your children and their classmates. This toolkit is constructed as a way to learn more about this Hindu festival in an interactive and enjoyable way, and can be used by educators and parents alike!
HAF is proud to collaborate with ELTS in developing the Celebrating Holi lesson plan that integrates the Color Vowel Approach to provide a clear and effective strategy for pronouncing and using new vocabulary.
If you’re a parent and would like to collaborate with your child’s teacher in celebrating Holi, look for our tips on how to create a Holi festival in the classroom.
We look forward to hearing about how your Holi celebrations turn out and encourage you to incorporate your own ideas and share them with us for future toolkits!
Share your Holi celebrations with us using the hashtag #HAFHoli!
Best wishes and Happy Holi to you from all of us at HAF!
